چکیده

Abstract Flow assurance treatment with chemical have become more common as new natural polymers are being develop and viable for inhibiting hydrate formation in production systems due to its eco-friendly economical properties. Using high-pressure micro-differential scanning calorimetry (HP-µDSC), the influence of kinetic inhibition on methane gas from synthetic polymer; polycaprolactam (PVCap) organic (low- high-methoxylated pectin) was investigated. HP-µDSC combined use open-ended capillary tubes counter stochasticity which often results an inconclusive data set without numerous repetitions. By adding within cell, points performance inhibitors. Generally, addition these inhibitors increased delay hydrates compared control sample contained deionized water at 25?C subcooling 10 MPa pressure. However, two types inhibitors, distinguished primarily by functional group ratios (carboxyl ester), performed contrast one another. The suggest that presence higher carboxyl groups is affecting overall polarity (i.e., low-methoxylated significantly improved optimum concentration where both pectin PVCap; a commercial inhibitor, relatively weaker. In comparison PVCap, showed comparable trend slightly better performances most concentrations; however, peak structures indicate discernible difference mechanism. may offer up three times PVCap high subcooling.

Investigation of the Hydrate Formation Equilibrium Conditions of Natural Gas

One of the main problems in oil recovery via the gas injection is the formation of hydrates in thelines. In order to prevent the formation of hydrate in these lines, which leads to the blockage andsometimes explosion, at first, the equilibrium formation conditions must be determined and then toprevent its formation by changing the thermodynamic conditions or by adding the inhibitors. In thisres...

Experimental Investigation of Natural Gas Components During Gas Hydrate Formation in Presence or Absence of the L-Tyrosine as a Kinetic Inhibitor in a Flow Mini-loop Apparatus

Hydrates are crystalline compounds similar to ice, with guest molecules like methane and ethane trapped inside cavities or cages formed by the hydrogen bounded framework of water molecules. These solid compounds give rise to problems in the natural gas oil industry because they can plug pipelines and process equipments. Low dosage hydrate inhibitors are a recently developed hydrate control tech...

Formation of methane hydrate from polydisperse ice powders.

Neutron diffraction runs and gas-consumption experiments based on pressure-volume-temperature measurements are conducted to study the kinetics of methane hydrate formation from hydrogenated and deuterated ice powder samples in the temperature range of 245-270 K up to high degrees of transformation. An improved theory of the hydrate growth in a polydisperse ensemble of randomly packed ice sphere...

Experimental Measurement of Methane and Ethane Mole Fractions during Gas Hydrate Formation

The super-saturation condition has to be provided to form gas hydrates. Consequently, the prediction of the guest molecule fraction in the aqueous phase is crucial in the study of the gas hydrate kinetics. In the present work, several experiments were carried out in a semi-batch reactor in order to determine the mole fraction of methane and ethane during gas hydrates formation (growth stage...
